REEFTON AHENÆUM.
The Annual Meeting of subscribers was held in the RjiJiiu R nn Om thtf t 20th instant. Eleven members beiug present. Mr Preshaw was \oted to tin* chair. The Annual Repor and Treasurer's balance sheet were read ami adopted. Dining the past year the committee haw added 293 books to the Lib ary. winch appear to have given general satisfaction. '1 he Balance sheet shows a credit sit the Bank of £H 16s 3<l. The b-iUmct of assets over liabilities is t*4l 9s 3d. Tin* thanks of the members were accorded to Mr John Mitchell for his kindness in remitting his charges of carnage on the last consignment of books, also to the proprietors of the local newspapers for their free copies to the Reading Room. The outgoing committee; viz. — Messrs Steele, Ilindmarsh, Presh.iw, M'Laughlin, Lewis, Sampson anil Cooper were re electtd f«»r the ensuing year, and Mr J hn M Sherry le elected auditor. At v meeting of the committee Mr W. riiiidniiirsli was re appointed Treaj surer and Mi Coopor, secretary.
