I ===== WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS COMING UPON US? Like a thipf at night it steals in upon uunawares. Mnny persons have pains about the cheat and sides, and •om< < time« in th back. They feel dull and sleepy ; the mouth hiu a bad taste, especially in the morning. A •ort of sticky slime collects about the teeth. The appetite h poor T ore is a feeling like a heavy load on the stomach ; sometimes a faint slUgone sensation at the pit of the stomach which food does not satisfy. The eyes are sunken, the hands and feet become cold and te«*l clammy. After a while a cough sets in. at first rlrv, but after a few rnonh* it is attended with a greenish coloured experforation. The afflicted one feels tirvri all the while, and »leep does not seem to affbrl any re«t. After a time he becomes nervous, irritable, and gloomy, and has evil forebodings. The bowel* become costive ; the skin is dry and hot at limes ; the blood becomes thick and stagnant ; the whites of the eyes become tinged with yellow, the urine is scanty and high-coloured, depositing « sedi ■ ment after standing. There is frequently a spitting up of the food, sometimes with a soar ta«te and fume-times *ith a sweetish taste; this is fiequ ntly attended with palpitation of the heart ; the vision be ones imparted with spots before the etes ; there in a feeling of great prostration and weakness All of these symptoms are in turn present. It is thought nearly one-third of our population has this disease in some of its varied forms. It bus been found that medical men have mistaken the nature of this dise»so. Rome hare treated it for a liver complaint others for kidney disrate, ect., ect., but none of the various kitidi of treatment have been attended with success, because the remedy should be mcb as to act harmoniously upon each one of thoxe organs, and upon the stomach as well; form Dyspepsia (for tbis is really what th? disease is) all of these organs partake of this disea-e and r< quire a remedy that will net upon all at the sane time. Seigel's Curative Syrup acts like a charm in tbis dais of complaints, giving almost immediate relief. The following letters from chemists of standing in the community where they live show in what estimation the article is h»ld. Whol< sale agents Kempthorne, Pro*ser & Go's New Zealand Drag Co (Limited), Dunedin, Christchuroh, Wellington, and Auckland. John Archer, Han hill near Steffi Id s—(5 — ( oan confidently recommend it to all who may be suffering from liver or stomach complaints, having the testimony of my custom -rs, who have derived great benefit from the Syrup and Pills. B.>bt. Lai»e, Melk«ham :— I can well recommend the Curative Syrup from h*v:ng proved its efftaucy for indigestion myself. F iockheim, Arbroath, Forfarshire, Sept. 83, 1832. Dem Sir,— Last year I sent you a letter recommending Mother Ueigels's Syrup. I have very much pleasure in still bearing teiti • mony to the very satisfactory results of the Famed Syrup and Pills. Most paten* Medicines iiie out with me, 'ut Mother Seigel has had a steady eale ever since I commenced, and is still in as great demand as when I first began to sell the medioine. The cures which have come under my notice are chiefly those of liver coin plaint and general debiliiy. A certain minister in my neighbourhood saja it is the only thing which has benefited Mm and restored him to his normal con* dition of health after being unable to preaoh for a considerable length of time- I could mention also a great many other cases but •pace would not allow. A near friend of mine, who is very much addicted to costiveness, or constipation, finds that Mother Seigel's Pills are the only pills which suit his complaint. All other pills cause a reaction which is very annoying. Mother Seigel's Pills do not leave a bad after-effect. I have much pleasure in commending again to suffering humauity Mother Seigel's medicines, which are no sham. If this letter is of an} service you oan publish it. Your very truly, (Signed) William S. Glass, Chemist. A. J. White, Esq. 15th August, 1833. Dear Sir,— l write to tell you that Mr. Hensry Hillier, of Yatesbury, Wilts, informs me that he suffered from a severe form of indigestion for upwards of four years, and took no end of doctor's medicine without the slightest benefit, and declares Mother Seigel's Syrup which he got from me has saved his life. Yours truly. (Signed) N. Webb, Mr. White. Chemist, Culne.
