A chamber is being constructed at tbe entrance of the southerly cross-cut, preparatory to the sinking of the main shaft. The winze is now down about 80ft and there has been a great improvement the last 10ft, the lode being much better formed. The reef ia now between sft and 6ft thick. Preparation for the ereotion of the required winding plant are being made. It is also intended to shortly open a drive on the north side of the main level, on the continuation of tbe stone.
