THE WILLMOTT COMPANY.
The CompaVijf jspive the third of their series of performances last night to a fairly filled house and the abundant applause accorded during the evening was a sufficient tent of, the merit of the. repesentafionrThe Company is not so large as when lAmv last, but what it lacks in ntfmliers is more than compensated f»r in the individual merit of the u«w additions. In the first place Miss Lawrence by the force of her own ability has become elevated to th« leading role, and the marked advance she ha* made since her lust appearance here fully confirms the selection. For Mr Rede, he is as of old, a host in him* self, and whether in the higher walks of genteel comedy or as the broad and irretiissibly comic farceur, he is no less thoroughly at home. Mr Balfe is undoubtedly as acquisition to the Company, and Iris great self possession and ready adaptability over a wide range of character marks him for a prominent place in the profession. Mr Mauris who is fresh from the leading London variety boards, is brimfull of genuine humor, and it is fortunately of a cast which \% new to the colonies, and has unquestionably a very snecessfnl career before him. Mr Diver iv all he ha* to do shows careful study, and adds to the strength of the Company. Mr Marter and Mr Simmonds, bsth of the old oftniwrgeirt, also show ■inch improvement, and possess a versatility of talent eminently useful in a company of the kind. Of the Indies, Miss Lena Wyatt has made much advancement since her last appearance in Reefton, and her impersonations are at all times pleasing. Miss Robinson and Mis* Norris are new additions to the company and add greatly to its efficiency. The company is, en the wh«Je a real Jf -clever one, and possesses a raora varied and extensive repertoire than prohaWly any other company . tjhair him travelled in 4he Celony, and the public are really doing botU theinßeW^ and Mr WiUitoott a great mjustici» l innit"acc6rding him a ; larger mcattm^of luppoTt. The opportunity of witnessing a really Clever and entertaining representation of such pieced as h'« is nightly placing upon the stage is one which rarely presents itself to a Reefton audience, and ought therefore to be the more cheerfully embraced.
