REEFTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

Minutes of special meeting, held a* the Secretary 1 * office, April 29th, 1885. Present : Mr U. B. Shepherd (chair) Messrs Paterson, Hindmarsh and Bowman. It wai resolved that Miss Andersen }>c requested to take charge in place of Mr Hopkins, />r». item, and that Miss Eittson be appointed temporary assistant teacher to take charge ef Miss Anderson's infant class, at the rate of £8 6s fed per month. j i Minutes of monthly meeting, held May 21st, 1885. Present : Mr G. B. Shepherd (chair) Messrs Patergon, Campbell. Bowmtn, Collings, and Hindmarsh. The minntes of the last meetings were read and confirmed. Correspondence to date also read. Mr Patterson stated that the arrangement with regard t* the appointment of Mira Anderson and Miss Xi- taon had not been carried ont by the Head Teacher, and moved that the Chair- . man be requested to instruct Mr Burnham to carry oat the arrangement of the committee, as passed at the last special meeting on the 29th April. The question not being seconded. — It was moved by Mr W. 6. Collings, secended by Mr Bowman, " That the action of Mr Bornham in the matter be confirmed." The motion was then pnt and carried on the followhifir division — Ayes : 6, Messrs Collings, Bowman, Campbell, Shepherd, and Hindmarsh. Noes: 1, Mr Patterson. The report of the Visiting Comraitwas received, and work recommended ordered to be done. The report was made of accepting j tenders for firewood, and the action | confirmed. j Gravelling in front of the school, j the sum of £3 was voted by the County for this work. | It was resolved that the following! accounts he passed for payment. j
