I » I Melbourne May 27. Monday being held as the Queen's birthday was a general holiday. The races, Governor's levee, and review were held, also a firemen's gala in the Friendly Society's gardens. Tbe ships in the river and bay were decorated. The review in Albert Park was a great success the total strength being 2828, including the naval forces and reserve. The total force was inspected by the Governor at the close of the day. Colonel Desney, the intimates that his Excellency was highly pleased with the evolutions performed. The review attracted 40, 000 people. Yesterday tbe Government received official information that the vine disease which has broken ont in Camden, New South Wales, was veritable phylloxera. It also appears that the disease must have existed in the locality for several years. A meeting in connection with the Gordon memorial will be held on Friday next, under the patronage of the Governor and suite. Sydney, April 27. It is rumored on good authority that Mr Stuart, the Premier, is to be made the recipient of some mark of distinction from the Queen through the Governor.
