(To THK EOITOE, INANOAHOA TIMES.) Sir. —Will you grant me space through the modi urn of your valuable paper for a few remark*. I see an article in the last week's issue of the Herald, as to Mr Men teat h's address at Boatman's. Being a lover of fair play I think such a statement should be contradicted. The Herald says —" that after the conclusion of^he address, a vote of oontidence was moved by Mr Choglan, and was not seconded ; a vote <>f want o# eottfidence was proposed by Mr Quinlain, and seconded by Mr Twohill, and the voting was largely in favour of the motion." Sow, the facts fttr these. A vote of confidence was moved by Mr Coghlas, and seconded by Mr Barr, and when put to the meeting a great number was in favour of it Mr Quinlain moved a vote of want of confidence, and Mr Twohill seconded it, but when p»t to the meeting only seven was for h< Fair play shonld at all tira^s be given, and not lead people astray by such untrs* statements. I an etc., FaIE Pl*T. m Boat****'** <f«m« Pth, 1886.
