REEFTON HOSPITAL.
The monthly meeting of the Com mittee was held at the County Council Chambers on Wednesday, July Ist, ! 1885. Present : Messrs C. B. King (Chair), Bowman, Patterson, Shepherd, and Secretary. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Surgeon Superinteodent'sreport was read and adopted. The Visiting Committee reported that they had found everything going on satisfactorily at the hospital, and had instructed the steward to have three stumps near the buildings i removed. I The following resolutions were ! carried. — That the temporary assistant ; be allowed ten shillings per week during the time of employment , That the Secretary be instructed to j procure one of " Monckton's Fracture j | B«ds." ns the Snrgeon Superintendent | considers it a necessary addition to the i appliances of the institution. ( ' That the Secretary be instructed to j write to the Inangahna Comity Council, 1 [taking for a subsidy, a* their funds ! are now nearly exhausted, and the number of old and destitute cases are now so numerous that they becouie a very heavy charge np«n the funds of the institution, winch is badly supported by the mining population. Acconuts amounting to £114 14s 0J were passed for parmeut. Visiting Committee. — Messrs C. B. Kiug, P. Twohill and W. Williams.
