It is announced that the Government will shortly call for tenders in ' London for a loan of £5,500.000, bearing interest at the rate of 8 \ per i cent New Zealand wheat, 8/- per bushel ; New Ze*and'oats, 2/2; maize, 2/11 j per 56 lbs; sugar (company's No. 1) pieces, £ 20 per ton ; pollard, 1/ per bushel ; potatoes, £8 per ton. Received July 11, 810. p.m. London, 10. The discussion on the Colonial Federation Enabling Act did not take place when the secondjn-eading was moved, bnt was reserved until the measure shall have reached the Com nrittee stage. Sir R. Herbert, Permanent Undersecretary for the Colonies, has informed the various Colonial Agents-General that the Gdvernment intend to move 'or the omission of the proviso allowng any Colony quitting the Federal [Jnion to repeal .he Acts referring to tself that may have been passed by ;he Federal Council during »he time hat such Colony wa3 a member of the Jnion.
