LARNACH (Lyell).

A meeting of shareholders in this company was held at Mr W. Hi id* , marsh's office on Friday evening hist, | Mr G. B. Shepherd in the chiir. j More than two thirds r.f the shares in the company were represented personally and by proxy. Mr Hindm.-irsh j lead the memorandum of association | which showed that the whole of tim shares in the company (21,000) was fully subscribed for in R->f-on, West port and Lyell. A resolution \va« ! carried authorising the nnnn^'i 1 to i proceed at once with the registration j of the company. Mr Hindmarsh was appointed legal manager of the company and a code of rules wapthen i adopted. The following directors were then elected : — Messrs G. 15. Shepherd, H. Piekett, I). P. Anderson. R Dvk s. and W. Cinnini '„'s. Mr H. Cooper was appointed auditor. The direc*. - subsequently met and decid-d upo*> ■' once coMiinencin^ operations in the mine. This company's ground is situate south ot and adjoining the United Alpine Company, and the reif in the latter mine on No. G has been driven on and proved to within 270 ft. of the Larnach north boundary.
