-f The Anniversary service in connection with the above church was celebrated yesterday afternoon. The Rev. F. I?.. Spencer conducted the service and preached a very effective serrcon. i Mr H, Lawn, Superintendent. f hen ; addressed the congregation as to the i progress of the school dnring the past ; twelve months. 4d. The cost of prizes for tbe present i anniversary w<« £9 3s Bd. The total ] debit balance now stands at £10 10s < 7d. Tbe distribution of prizes then 1 took place after which a collection was made. The Saperintendant stated ; that they had been under great difficulties with regard to teachers, and expressed a hope that next year he would be ablo to say they were in a far better position than they are at present During the service the children sang several hymns in a pleasing manner.
