Friday, October. 10. There is nothing very "ew to report concerning the workings inside the ' mine : stone is coming to grass fr« ely, and all the faces in *h° stopes, show il fiiji* !> dy of stone, — Nos. 5 and 6, being particularly massive and bulky. The new mulct* of stone, above the topstope in he north end of the le»vl, has only been cut into, and drive.,-) on for a little distance ; r.perations in it. hive I.een discontinued for the present, ns the body of stone rises too abruptly tor any len :th of stoping ; however, wlit-n the workings have been opened for a few sets higher, it can !»e worked like the other reef, and juvl-^ing by what has been seen and proved of it so far, its extent and quality will do a lot towards steady yields, and regular dividends in the future. Cross-cutting for the north block stiil going on from main rise, but nothing struck yet. The ground keeps very likely-looking for foot- wall.
