The Inangahua Times. PUBLISHED TRI-WEEKLY. FRIDAY, MARCH 19, 1886.

The large extent of payable ground now proved in the Ross United Company's claim, has justified the Directors in opening out a chamber on the 7th level, and in calling for tenders for extending the drive to the locality where the gold was found. The shareholders may be congratulated on the excellent prospects now before them. It will take many years of productiveness to exhaust the large extent of payable auriferous ground which is embraced in the Company's claim. Among the important exhibits sent to the Indian and Colonial Exhibition (says the N. Z. Times) is that of the Endeavor [nlet Antimony Company, to be forwarded by the s. s. Tongariro. The itand which goes with it will be about 7ft high by 4ft square, the first 3ft from the Boor being square, and surmounted by a pyramid showing on each side six cakes of antimony similar to those lately exhibited in Mr Williston's window (twenty-four cakes in all), and about half a ton in weight. Tbe frame is finished off with a neatly rounded, ornamental top, in which is fixed the Company's card, with the name of their London agents. One reason that makes this exhibit of special interest is the fact that it will not only be the first star antimony made in New Zealand, but— unless it has been made quite recently — the first outside of Europe. Several smelting works have bsen erected md wrought in different parts of the world, but at none of them have they been able to produce an article of sufficiently good quality to be called star metal, this marking being nature's brand of purity. By the end of the present month the company expect to have all their work and ore dressing machinery erected and in thorough working order, bo that so soon as they hare an efficient staff of men trained for the smelting department we may expect to see regular shipments being made by the monthly steamers. The Company is to be congratulated on what now appears to be an assured success, and also the Champion Copper Company of Nelson. These and similar enterprises deserve all possible encouragement as being essential to the future progrem and substantial enrichment of this Colony. Wellington capitalists hold nearly all the shares in the Endeavor Inlet Antimony Company, and fire not likely to part with them readily, 10 well satisfied are they with the future prospects of the Company. A fair proportion of shares in the Champion Copper Company is also held in Wellington. " Kbatino's P<!Wder " destroys Bugs, Pleas, Moths, Beetles, and all other insects, whilst quite harmless to domestic inknais. In exterminating Beetles the success of this powder is extraordinary, ft is perfectly clean in application. See the article you purchase is •' Kbatino's" i« imitations are noxious and ineffectual.
