Thursday, Joyr Bth, 1886.

Applications. Golden Point Company, special site. Granted.

John Butler, dam at Left-hand branch of Devil's Creek. Granted.

Walker and Bollerslev, tunnel for taking out coal. Objected to by W. B. Archer, on the ground that the tun" nel passed through his ground. Also objected to by John .Coghlan, on the ground that the coal was being taken from Crown land. Applicant stated that he had not applied for a mineral lease, but a petition had been forwarded to the Minister of Mines, asking him to reserve the toal for the use of the residents aud companies, but no reply had y«t been received. The Warden said the application might be a proper step to take, but until some, title to the ground bad been obtained by applicant he could not grant the application, which would therefore be dismissed.
