The Age to-day publishes a telegram from Darwin stating that a schooner which had arrived reports that many who had started for Kimherley had I returned, learning that the field was unpayable. They met with a hearty reception at New castle on-Tyne, Durham, and Leeds. The party proceeds to Bradford today. Received August 7, 7 p.m. i Adelaide, 7. ' Arrived— Caledonian, with the Eng- , lish mail to 28th June. ' London, 6. The cricket match — Australians v. Gloucestershire was continued to-day at Clifton. The Australian cricketers ' continued their first innings, which closed for 211, or 9 runs less than their opponents scored. The Home team then went in for their Becond innings, and at the conclusion of the day's play had put together 196 runs for the lops of five wickets. The principal scores made to day were, for the Australians, Jones, caught, 67, and Blackham, bowled, 60, and for the Gloucestershire, Brain scored 70 lwfoie he was disposed o£ The Imperial Parliament stands adjourned until 19th instant. During the interval the Ministerial re-elections take place.
