PROSPBCTrS OF THE f LONE STAK GOLD MINING COM« PANY, Limited. Capital : L 24.000, in 24,000 Shares of LI Each, of which 10s per share shall be considered as Paid-up. HHE Company is to be one of 24,000 shares, and is to he formed for the purpose of taking over and working the Lone Star and Orient le;i*eß, comprising in area of 33 acres situated on the main range between the Left Hand Branch of the Inaugahua River aud Boatman's Creek, and on the same line as the Fiery Cross and Welcome reefs. The promoters, Messrs Heaphy and M'Caffrey, having traced payable Btone on the surface for a long distance, started a drive on the southern slope of the range on the fall towards the Inaugahua River, and having followed the re f fur a distance of 40 fei't sank a winsw on it to a depth of 35 feet. The reef ranges from l£ feet to 2 feet iv thickness, lietweeu two well defined walls ; it is entirely free from mullock and shows gold freely. A trial crushing of 20 tuns gave 34 minces lldwts. of incited gold. The appearance of the reef and the country in which it lies indicate permanency. It i.'» not >:ni «■ too much to state that it )<><>ka us well as any new discovery yet fouiH in the i>>af man's district. Gold hearing quirfz is to be found on the surface both north and Bouth in the adjoining leases, thus betokening a large ana <>f auriferous country between Boatman's Creek and the Tnangahua River. The position of the ground gives it many advantages. Owiny to the contour of the country, level after level can be driven with comparatively little expense. There is an unlimited supply < f water for crushing purposes at a distance of about 40 chains, over which an inclined or aerial tramway could easily be constructed. Machinery can he landed with trifling cost, the river bed affording a good road for waggons. There is plenty of timber on the ground for all the requirements of mining or l>uildtng purposes. The reefs m the Boatman's district have j almost invaranly t>een highly payable, and ; iv none of them tit their early stages was there a better show of stone aud gold than is now to he seen in the tunnel and winze in tho Lone Star lease. The prontocers are now putting 18,000 shares on the market at 2s per share, retaining 6000 in their own hands showing thereby the confidence which they have in the property.
