BULLER ROAD.

(To the Editor Inangahua Times ) Sir.— Permit me to call the. attention of the puhlic to the oisg»aeefui state of the Reefton Buller road from the boundary at the White Cliffs to the bridge across the Inangahua. The contract for maiii- ■ tenance lias been let eleven months, ami during that time little or no repairs have been done. It is with the utmost difficulty that teams can plough through the mud and <lee|> ruts. I can safely say it has not been in so bad a state for the past eight years. At no time have your County Council exerted themselves to have this n«d kypt in goi d repair, but of late it seems to be almost totally inflected. lam creditably informed the Engineer has only been once to the boundary since the present contract commenced. At the present time the contractor is •inly making bad worse by putting sand on top of tlie mud, wiih about one barrowfull of gravel to the load, while there is plenty of good nietf.il available. I am&c, Carrier.
