j Pbospectus of the LONE STAR GOLD MINING COMPANY, Limited. 'Capital: L24,000,in 24.000 Shares of LI Each, of which 10s per share shall be considered as Paid-up. fPHE Company is to bo one of 24,000 I shares, and is to be formed for the purpose of taking over and working the Lone Star and Orient leases, comprising an area of 33 acres situated on the main range between the Left Hand Branch of the Inanuahua River and Boatman's Creek, and on the same line as the Fiery Cross and Welcome reefs. The promoters, Messrs Heaphy and M'Caffrey, having traced payable stone on the surface for a long distance, started a drive on the southern slope of the range on the fall towards the Inangahua Riven*, and having followed the reef for a distance of 40 feet sank a winze on it to a depth of 35 feet. The reef ranges from 1£ fuet to 2 feet in thickness, between two well defined walls ; it is entirely free from mullock and shows gold freely. A trial crushing of 20 tons gave 34 ounces lldwts. of meHed gold. The appearance of the reef and the country in which it lies indicate permanency. It is not saying too much to stato that it looks as well as any new discovery yet found in the Boatmtin'i* district. Gold-bearing quartz is to be found on the surface both north and south in the adjoining leases, thus betokening a large area of auriferous country between Boaitnan'b Creek and the Inangahua River. The position of the ground gives it many advantages. Owing to the contour of the country, level after level can be driven with comparatively little expense. There is an unlimited supply of water for crushing purposes at a distance of about 40 chains, over which an inclined or aerial : rain way could easily be constructed. Machinery can be landed with i rifling cost, ihe river bed affording a good road for waggons. There is plenty of timber on the ground for all the requirements of mining or building purposes. The reefs in the Boatman's district have almost invarably been highly payable, and in none of them at their early suges was there a better show of stone and gold thai) is now to be seen in the tunnel and winze in the Lone Star lease. The promoters are now putting 18,000 shares on the market at 2s per share, retaining 0000 in their own hands showing thereby the confidence which they have in the property.
