PROSPEOIisOFTHE fi H I C AG O GOfD MINING COM V PANY, Limited. Capital : £12,000, in £24,000 shares of 10s. Each. Pbopbrtv— A Goid Mining Lease of 15a. lr. 6p., Boatman's Creek, County of lnangahua. The proprietors of the above lease have determined to proceed as promptly as possible to open up and develop the reef in this ground, the existence of which being of a satisfactorily auriferous character, is shown by the favorable show of gold obtained at various times on the surface on the line of rt,ef. The undertaking , being of greater magnitude than the means of the present proprietors will allow— though of small extent in the case of a company — as proposed, offer a portion of the shares to the public at one ■(hilling per share, and immediately the shares are allotted a meeting of the shareholders will be called to elect a Directory, and thtf Company will be then Registered and work commenced. This mining lease was formerly known as the Lucky Hit, the boundaries being identical. It is fair on the line of reef, which in its continuous N. and S, course contains the Homeward Bound mine at its north end, then, successively, south the Eureka, Welcoma, Hopeful, Fiery Cross, Walhalla, Just-in Time, Reform, South Hopeful, Chicago, Multum in Parvo, Lone Star. Britannia, Britannia Extended. The fiflrt seven of these mines lying north of Boatman's Creek, and the last six south of, the: Creek, on the high range between Boit man's Creek and the Left band Brawn vf the InAngithna, The success of many of these mines being so well known, it requires no particular account of here, beyond pointing out the fact that the inining leases south of the Creek have during the last few months only, had any attention paid to them in the way of prospecting, and that only of a limited nature, Compatible with the means of small parties of prospectors. The success of these limited operations has been demonstrated, notably in the case of the Loue Star, which mine lies south about 400 feet of thfe Chicago. The Lone Star by a comparatively small expenditure have opened a mine the market value of which at present is |6000, (vide late sales), and doubtless with 1 judicious expenditure of a small amount of capital on other leases in that locality similarly satisfactory results are to be obtained, and the wealth of this hitherto neglected portion of the Boat man's line of reef brought to light to the benefit of the adventurers. The grade of the surface in the Chicago allows the re«f to be prospected by short tunnels— a gteat advantage over shaft workings. A tramway about 20 chains in length would make connection with the Just-in-Time and Fiery Cross batteries, where : crush iig could be performed at a moderate cbajge. The length of the lease on the Hue of reef is 1,100 feet, and it was pegged off rith the view to contain the reef at lowef levels, allowing for strike and underlie. The deed of lease from the Government has been executed, and will be deposited with the undersigned as agent for the proprietors, to be transferred to the company on its registration. Shares wil be allotted by the agent as they are applied for, therefore intending investors win do we to apply promptly, n All applications must be accompanied by a deposit of «ne shilling per share.
