ANGLING.
Tho angling competitions held under the auspioes of the Chrictchurch Anglers’ Club were held on Wednesday, and resulted as follow .-—The Spackmaa Cup, fished with natural bait, won by L. Biggins, with nine fish, weighing 64 2-31 b (the largest fish scaled iff.}lb); V. Pankhurst was second with eight fish, weighing 22*}lb; and H. W. Webb third, with eight fish weighing 13glb Spinning competition—L. Biggins, eight fish. 471 b (biggest fish 8}lb), 1; G. F. Whiteside, six fish, 391 b, 2; J. M’Neil, four fish, 1841 b, 3. Fly fishing competition —A. J. Lavery, ten fish, 81b 14oz (largest fish 31b), 1; L. Biggins, two fish, 3Jib, 2. Mr Biggins was fishing at Little Rivar.
