The body of the missing parachutist, known as Mile. Albertina, who made an ascent at Cardiff in July, and was seen to fall Into the Bristol Channel, has been discovered lying on the bank of the channel at Nash, near Newport, Monmouth, 12 miles from the scene of the ascent. Around her body was a life-belt, and attached to her shoulders were hooks by which she had been suspended from the parachute. An inquest on her body was held. It transpired that her real name was Louisa lUaud Evans, that she was only 14 years old in December, and that she had never made a parachute descent before the night of the accident. .The doctor who made a postmortem examination said he believed the girl was unconscious when she fell with the parachute into the British Channel. A man, Gaudron, under whose directions the ascent and descent were made, admitted that he told the girl to keep secret that it was her first attempt at parachuting. The jury returned a varriiet of "Accidentally drowned," but added that Gaudron displayed great carelessness and want of judgment in allowing so young and Inpxperienced a person to make a descent in such windy weather. * trhll l
