QUEENSTOWN ATHLETIC CLUB.
The annual meeting of the above Club was held in the Council Chambers on Friday evening last. Mr D. C. Brown was voted to the chair. The balance sheet, which was adopted subject to audit, showed a credit balance of £l9 18s Id
The secretary, Mr J. J. Mcßride' was voted an honorarium of £4 Is. It was decided to hold a sporte meeting on Easter Monday. The following office-bear ts were elected: Patro.t.Jas. Horn,Esq.,M.P.; president, A. Simsou' Esq.: vice-pre-sidents: Messrs D. F. Murchi~on,Drs. Stewart and Watt; committee of management: Messis H. C. Buckham, H. Lordeii, D. C. Brown' W. Wilson, jj Powell, T. H. Tallentire T. Cr.ighton, W. Edwards, W. Nelson' McPhail, A. E. Farranf, Jno. Thompson andJa-s. Kelly, J. McChesney' H. Harris and J. Olscn. Collectors': Messrs A. Adams and Wm. Wilson (Queenstown) J. McChesney (Arthurs Point), and H. Harris (Frankton). The following Programme Committee was appointed: M s.srs H. Lord en, J. McPhail, Nelson and Brown. Starter, Mr D. C. Brown; Judges: Buckham, Lorden aud Thompson: handicapper, Mr H. Lorden. Children's races: Messrs A. Simson, T. Tallentire and W. Wilson; secretary, Mr J. J. Mcßride. The arrangemenfs in connection with the booth were lift iu the hands of Mr Lorden and the secretary.
It was decided to engage the Band as usual.
It was resolved that the charge for afternoon tea be fixed at the mini-t mum price o'f Is for adults, and chil-C dren at the discretion of th> attendants.
The Programme Committee will meet ou Saturday next.
