GOVERNMENT NOTICES. PROCLAMATION. By His Honor William Henry Eyes, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the Colony of New Zealand. IN accordance with the provisions of the “Education Act,” Session XI., No. 4, Clause XVII., I hereby notify that I have appointed Saturday, the twentyfifth day of January, 1868, at noon, as the day on whieh meetings shall be held for the election of Local Committees for the purposes of the said Act, and such meetings shall be held in the School Houses of the following districts respectively :—Picton, Blenheim, Renwick, Wairau Valley, Havelock, Mahakipawa. Spring Creek, and Kaikoura. Should a poll be demanded, it shall take place between the hours of one and four p.m. on the same day ; and the mode of voting shall in all respects be conducted in the same manner as is provided for the election of members of the Provincial Council. Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Blenheim, this ninth day of January, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight. W. H. Eyes, Superintendent. Notice NOTICE is hereby given that all persons liable under the provisions of “ The Education Act, 1865,” for the payment of the Household Rate and Quarterly Fees for the year 1867. and who have not paid them, are requested to pay the same to the respective Teachers in the several Districts of the Province, on or before Saturday, the First day of February next; and it is hereby further notified that legal proceedings will be taken after the above date for the recovery of all rates and fees due to the Board.
