The balance sheet submitted at the annual meeting of the Auckland branch of tho H.A.C.B. Society, show 3 that the total sum to the credit of the variuos funds is £2514. Mr Doran has bean re-elected President of the branch. Donedin, January 8. Hon J. M'Eenzie was m town to-day. He was watted on by a deputation from the Dairy Association, who asked assistance m securing proper branding, and the recognition of produce m the Home market, and also asked for a subsidy- to push produce. The Minister promised to give due consideration to the first request, and as regards the second promised a subsidy of £2 to £1 up to £200 as was dono last year.
