RULES AND REGULATIONS. Horses nominated for Handicap races at this meeting, not allowed to start m Hack Baces, Hack Hurdles excepted. No entry will be received for any race except upon tha condition that sll claims, disputes and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, on whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points r shall be final. All protests must be L accompanied with a deposit of two boys, which will be forfeited to the funds of ihe Club if the protest is considered frivolous or vexatious. In all races second horse to save his j stakes, except where second money is given. All nominations, entries, acceptances &0., accompanied by the necessary amount m cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at Shaw's Hotel, Benwiok, not later than 8 p.m. on the advertising date of closing. No entiy will be received under any pretence whatever after ihe hour named. The rules of the Metropolitan Racing Club will be strictly attended to. Five per cent will be deducted from the j { gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent of the stakes. - * Owners are responsible foe all penalties and allowances, which must be notified to the Secretary, when possible on night of general entry, or m any case prior to the start. All persons wishing to withdraw horses are required to give notice to. that effect to ' the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half hour before the official time of starting such race. Any persen neglecting or refusing to comply with the rule shall pay a fine to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding- 20 - soya., to go to the funds of the Club. All horses to be named to tho Secretary » before 10 o'clock a.m. on the day preoeding any race for which they may be entered or nominated, under a penalty of £5, to be paid by the owner.
