The Hierh Commissioner reports:—c LONDON, April 8 (1.55 p.m.) Sir Douglas Haig reports: Attacking this morning on a wide front from south of Arras to southwards ot Lens, we everywhere penetrated the> enemy's lines, making satisfactory, progress at all points. In the direction of Cambrai wet stormed the villages of Heremics and Bounsies and ' penetrated into Havcvencourfc Wood. In the direction of St. Quentm we* captured Fresncy le Petit. We ad-, vanced our line south-east <ot Leverouir. The number of pnwmerar has not yet been estimated, but at considerable number were captured* -
