Honey is at present a commodity for which there is considerable demand. Mr L. Bowman, Government apiary instructor, stated at a recent meeting of the Canterbury Beekeepers' Association, that two Christchurch firms are inquiring for supplies of, honey for export, and that the Honey Producers' Association is also very anxious to obtain as mucli honey as possible to fill contracts with the United Kingdom, and requires a quantity very much in excess of, what it has formerly needed. The honey market, Mr Bowman added, was? very encouraging from the beekeepers' point of view, and prices have not been higher for many years.l
