Mesopotamian official: The Turks who were reported-,on the 6th to be. retiring to Kifri are tow contemplating a converging movement in conjunction with the. Turks on. the left bank' of the Tigris against the British between the Shatt-el-Adhaim' and Diala rivers, in the meantime holding up the Russians on the upper reaches of the Diala. ■ Our troops, reported on the Bth to be in possession of the left bank of the Shatt-el-Adhaim, recaptured Belad and Harbe stations, north 'and north-west of Bagdad.
