ENBMY DRIVEN FAR BACK
The High Commissioner reports: — LONDON. April 12 (3.20 p.m.) French official: Southward of the •:©ise, after artillery preparation, we attacked eastwards of the line of Coney la Viile and <Juincy Basse. After a lively combat ilie enemy were driven as-far as the borders soutliwfist of >the high forest .of Covey.
1 Several important points d'appui on the field are in our hands, despite the enemy's resistance. Numerous dead were found on the ground, and many prisoners were brought in. Reconnaissances pemetrated the German lines at several points north of the Aisne. Our line is now completely re-established.
