SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE
CONSTITUTION DRAFTED. The committee set' up at the* inaugural public meeting recently, when it was decided to form a Second Division League in Wellington, propose to submit the constitution and ■. rules for approval to a public meeting of Second Reservists to be held next Thursday evening. The objects to be submitted are as follows: — • i ■ (a) To demonstrate the loyalty of Rescvvists to His 'Majesty the King and his Government in New Zealand by assisting in every way possible to carry the war to a victorious conclusion. (b) To endeavor to secure by constitution:: I methods adequate ;iUow:mces nnd pensions for all soldiers and their dependents. (c) To inquire into the provisions^ of the Defence Act nnd Military Service Act and ■?iegulations made thereunder, with a view to making such suggestions to the Government as may be deemed -to assist the smooth working of the Acts, : and the general welfare of soldiers and their dependents. (d) The league shall be strictly non-political.
