In the Legislative Assembly last night, a message was received from the Council asking that a Committee be appointed to consider the Eeform Bill., Mr Berry stated he agraed witbT the' suggestion and proposed himself, Messrs Longmore, Mirams, Pearson, - Lucker, Vale and Grant and the leader of the Opposition a« members of the Committee. Sir John O'Shannassy energetically protested against the selection bat upon a ballot being taken it was confirmed. Mr Berry in the course of the debate, stated he could only make a small concession . to the Council. The Council committee will consist of Sir Charles Sladen and, Messrs Cuthbert, Hearae, Reid, Fitzgerald, Balfour and Macbahv. The joint committee is not expected to succeed in bringing about an. understanding on the Eeform question. j
