She left Greenock on October 28th, bat bad weather compelled her to take refnge at Queenstown for twelve days. Touched at &t. Vincent for coal. The Kawatiro is the first of the fleet of colliers expressly built to the order of the Westport Goal Company for the trade of this port. She has brought out a largo quantity of machinery, which is to be used m making improvements m the incline jailway and at the mine, by which the output of coal is expected to be greatly increased^
