Fires m Wairarapa.

A lare bush fire was raging m the centre of lhe township yesterday. Several properties were m serious danger, which was only averted by the vigilance of the settlers. Once the best part of the town was m imminent danger from large pieces of fire drifted by the wind. About 100 acres were on. fire, and the smoke was fear ul to work m.
