DISSOLTJTI <N GRANTED.
(by electric telegraph. — copyright, (redter's telegrams. ) Melbourne, This Day.
Ihe Governor has been advised by the Premier and Cabinet to grant a dissolution, a memorandum having been presented petting forth the reasons for the action taken, chiefly the obstructive tracties pursued by the opposition.
; The Gazette announces that Parlia ment is prorogued uctil Feb. is,and that the dissolution will take -place on Saturday.
The writs for the new election will issued on Feb. 9, the nominations being fixed for the 15th, and the polling will take place on the 23rd.
The new Parliament will meet on the 27th of February.
