George Thomas reports as follows : Wheat (fowls'), heavily, stocked, ruling from 3s 9d to 4s 6d; barley, 3s 7d to 3s 9d ; maize, very little sale, aud none offering, 4s 6d to 4s 94 is considered a fair market ; report ; flour, £10 15s"to £11 ; oatmeal, £15 ; bran, £4 10s ; pollard, £5 Is ; hams and bacon, B|d to 9d ; cheese, 7£d ; butter, B£d to 9d. A good iuquiry exists for grass seed. For firstnclass perennial rye-grass Seed 4s 6d to 4s 9d is quoted ; there have been some transactions at the former figure ; cocksfoot is worth 4d to 4|d. Butter is quoted at 7^d to 8d per lb for prime potted. Cheese, Bd. Larey & Campbell report fowls are worth 3a 9d to 4s j ducks, 4s to 43 3d ; turkeys—there have' not been any for some time past; eggs are rising slowly,. Is 6d being realised at auction to-day for the'nT;* butter, scarce and much enquired for; potatoes jt are scarce and price unsettled ; onions, L 8 to L 9.
