The workmen employed m cutting a ■race for Humphrey's Gully Gold Mining Company struck gold m the race, between Donghton and the inlet end of the tunnel. It is believed to be: payable. It is also reported that gold has been' struck m the JRoss Extended Company's prospecting shaft.
