NARROW ESCAPE FROM COLLISION.
i (BY TELEGRAPH.) (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Chbistchurch, This Day. A narrow escape from a railway accia dent occurred on the north line yesterday evening. The train left Christchurch half an hour late, and on nearing Sonthbroofc nearly collided with the up train for Christchu'ch. Thrs engine* were a very short distance apart when they were brought to a standstill.
