The Halcombe School.
At a special meeting of the Ralcombe School Committee held on Monday evening, for the purpose of considering the suspension of Mr Harris, there were present— Messrs Lash (Chairman), Graves, Purkiss, Win; Ball, and Tomkins. — Mr Graves moved the following resolution, of which notice had been gi yen : — "That Mr Harris having made use of grossly insulting language to the Chairman of Committee on the occasion when be was officially visiting Che school on the 12th March, and 3rd of April, 1883 ; and having tailed to supply a copy, of the letter he forwarded to the Board when applying for the appointment of the Waverley scnool ; and also having refused to attend an enquiry into the late flagging case, m accordance with resolutions of this Com'miitee, he is adjudged guilty of gross misbehaviour, and is m consequence suspended from his duties of " head master of tho Halcorabe School, such suspension to take effect at once." After discussion, the motiou was put to the meeting and riec'awd carried.
