Barometer, further fall at all stations ; but rising within 12 hours at -all places south of Lyttelton anti Hokitika, and later at all other places. Sea, heavy on Western Coast, and between Castlepoint and Kiikoura. Warnings for westerly gales hare been sent -to all places south of East Cape and Cambridge. I : -Synopsis of last 48 hours, since Saturday afternoon: The barometer has fallen steadily every where/ with northerly winds, which increased to a hard gale on feunday night at- most places from Castlepoint and Wanganui, southward to Lyttelton and Hokitika. ; ..-.;.
