The Murphy Families.

[Wellington Paper.] The fact that the public response to the appeal of the Committee of the Murphy Relief Fund and the Wellington Amateur Dramatic Club was so liberally entertained cannot but be exceedingly gratifying to hII concerned. The late performance by the Club at the Theatre Royal resulted m a total receipt of £100 13s 6d on behalf of the fund. The expenses, however, were rather heavy, amounting to £29 5s 9d, but no doubt they were very necessarily incurred. The balance to be divided between the two families amounts to £71 7b 9d, or £35 : ' 13s MM each. The total amount m hand for Mrs Captain Mnrphy has reached the very respectable sum of about£2oo.
