Potatoes — Large quantities continue to arrive from Kaikoura and Oamaru ; the former arejquoted .at £3, sacks extra,.and the latter £3 6s, sacks extra.. .Flour is quoted afc £11 15s by local mill. Milling wheat has had good : business, several large parcels having changed bands at equal to 4s 3d for shipment to another New Zealand port. Oats have the usual trade demand at from 2s 2d to 2s 6d, according to quality. Oatmeal is worth £14 to £14 10s. ; George Thomas repotts produce prices as follows : Oats, flour, and wheat . without alteration, and. trade exceedingly quiet. Oatmeal is slinhtly weaker, £13 to £13 10s Being 1 quoted value. Potatoes steady at 60s to 65s ; maize, 4s to 4s 3d ; pollard and bran m good dernaml. at £4 106 aud £5 15s respectively ; chaff, £4 ; onions, £8 ; cheese has advanced to 7d ; hams (Canterbury cure), lOd ; bacoq, B£d. ; farmers 1 cure, 7£d all round ; eggs, Is b'd to Is 7d ; fresh butter, Is to Is 2d; salt do, lid.
