The text of the material .portion of the Order m Council just published concerning the audit $ .School Committee, accounts, is as follows : — " Every School Committee shall, npt later t^an the 15th day > off January m j each year, make ap its account for the, jrear ending 31st day of Pecemher.preyious, and shall immediately thereafter submit the same to an auditor apppintedthy the Board of the education' district within which the school or Softools; under the jurisdiction ofthe Committee' are situated. The Board of each education distriot shall, in'the monthof .December m every %ear,.^Ppoin* a n;^ auditor or auditors to audit 'the accounts of th^e, School Committees within the district m or for which|sucK Board is constituted, and" shall m the J same month notify to each school * onimittee the name *of the* auditor 'who is appointed to audit the accounts of such i. ommittee for the year jn which such appointment is 'made. The auditor appointed to audit the accounts of any School Committee shall have. aocesß to ' : all the books and accounts of the Committee and, any <tf its officers, and shall" general statement 1 of the receipts and expenditure of the Committee, and verify the same with the accounts and vouchers relating thereto, hand, the same as found by him to be correct, duly vouched, and m accordance With law, or specjally report to the Educa-' tion Board of the district m what rWpTcts he finds - it . incorrect, unvouched, or not m accordance with law."'
