Marsh's Ashurst coach came to grief this afternoon through the horses bolting when standing at Milverton's shop m Main-street. The vehicle capsized, causinjury to the upper part, but no further damage resulted. The conveyance had not long before been done up for the holiday season,; Messrs Stevens and Gorton's stock sale at Bulls will take place on Tuesday, and at Awahuri oa Friday next. Both sales have already numerous catalogues. There are thirteen savings banks at pre* sent m Victoria, and 70,000 people have a little more than a million and threequarters sterling lying at interest m them. There are 11,000 more depositors this year than last. There was a very recherche display of seasonable drapery at Mr D. M, George's establishment ou Saturday evening, the windows being m.osfc effectively set out. Not a few pasters by stopped to admire, and by no means a small number were induced to enter and purchase through the elegant show visible from outside. There are no lees than eighty civil cases for hearing at the R.M. Court, Palmers* ton, at its next sitting. There was no attendance of members of the Acclimatization Society at the meeting on Saturday afternoon, and beyond the passing of a couple of accounts no further business was transacted.
