APOLOGY.
Mr Whitehead'a new shop on the Square on Saturday evening was the theme of general admiration. It was brilliantly lit up and tastefully decorated, the choice eatables within looking to the best advantage through the magnificent plate glass windows. Such a shop is an ornament to the Square and from its central position should command a lucrative business. We hear that the Foxton-Sanson Tramway works are at a standstill, the workmen declining' to proceed until paid up arrears of wages due to them, which we learn is a considerable sum.
