LADIES' RECHABITE SOCIETY.
Last evening Mr Alfred Levy successfully inuugurnted a Ladies' KecbabiteJLodge m Palmerston. At seven o'olock about a dozen Pulmerston ladies pieacnted themselves for jnitiu tion, and wprb^slidwn and" given the m.ysteirious sign-^ an4passwordsof the Order, They then proceeded to theelectionof officers — ■ Sister J. itibblewhite was chosen CiR. ; Sibter Anderson, D.C.R. ; Sister 1 H. Kibblewhite^ Treasurer ; Sister Lee, Secretary j and SSistere e r Mitchell, Stewardess. The Lodge was christened the i•> Loyal/ Alexandria Lodge," m honor of jfleV Koyal Highness the Princess of Wales. We understand that ladies joining the Lodge contribute 3g,6d per .quarter, for >vhich they obtain medical aid if required, and alter being .^n.tjje Orcjer twelve months, members falKng sick will receive 10s per week .sick pay, and hi the event of death her relatives are paid £10. Gentlemen can only' become honorary meuibers, and. then must be members of the adult JVebb,abile Lodge. This will give them the privilege of visiting the Alexandria Lodge, and accompanying their sisters 1 to their homes after the Lodge is closed. The meetings are to be held m $ue Wesjeyan schoolroom every alter-! nate Friday evening.
