The Pirate was wrecked off; iMahiluku. Captain Munn, leaves a wife and four children resident at Auckland. Captain Ayres leaves a widow and til ree children. General regret is felt at the untimely: death of thene gallant seamen m the gale at Rarotonga. . The schooner Flora, which. arrhW'at Earotoiiga four days after the gale, and had encountered it, reported that the glass had fallento 27*20, and that at tlie time of the height' of the huriicane the cre# were obliged to cut holes m the bulwarks of the vessel, to allow th,e seas which .were constantly flooding the decks to escape.
