— :oo: — The Railway to Ashurst. Deputation to Minister for Public Works. The Line to be Surveyed. (SPECIAL TELEGRAM TO STANDARD. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Messrs Linton and Macarthur interviewed the Premier and Minister for Public Works re a midway to Ashurst Mr Blackett was instructed to survey the line with a view to place the necessary amount for its construction on the Estimates next session. The deputation was well received.
