PALMERSTON NORTH STATE SCHOOL.
Annual Meeting of Householders. - The annual; meeting of householders, to receive the report of the outgoing School Committee, and elect a new one m its stead, took place at the Palmerston School-house .on Monday (yesterday) evening. At the time tixd<t, for the opening of the meeting there were about 40 persons present. After some delay, Mr J. P. Leary was voted to the chair. The Chairman stated that Mr Lin '.on, the Chairman of the^out^oiug-. School Committee was obliged to pro-, ceed to Wellington on private business, and_w.ouLd therefore, be .unable "to^be^ present.
