— (Herald.) ...Despite^ the dismal forebodings which «ret*e'tlie;result;of the bad wealher ex^ perlen'ced during the last month oMwo, we understand the warm sun ot the past few days has done much to improv^ the crops and lighten the hearts of our farmers ; :n fact, it is thought that if it will keep fine for a w«ek or twoj there may yet be a good harvest, which will go far to relieve the present depression on the coast. In the Waverl-y. district the outlook is not nearly so bnd as ' was at firs* anticipated, and harvesting has commenced on a number of properties* From the South, also, we learn by telegraph that the recent- change h s wrought ■ a wonderful change m the crops, and farmers are yet hopeful of a good Beason.
