The ship City of Lucknow, from Adelaide, collided m the channel on Fiiday evening- with the Simla, bound for Sydney. The steamer Guernsey rescued fifteen of the Simla's crew. The Simla was nob carrying passenger*. Later.. The collision between the. City of Liicknow and the Simla occurred during a heavy gale, and about twenty miles from ihe Needles. It is sup-"; posed that the Simla sank; The Lucknow proceeded to London. The captain of the, Simli*, with his; wife aril chilli the third officer, throe apprenin, boarding the, Lucknow. The chief officer, fo:u other ofl|cer.s, seven of; the crew, a.nd ..two stowaways were also, rescued by the steamer; Guernsey, b'lt the remainder of the crew of the Simla, are missiug. She had on board a general cargo. ■
